Catch 22 is a classic, Fear and Loathing in Las Vagas by Hunter s.Thompson is also rather dark and funny.

Try some of the works of Philip K. Dick. They are weird, scary, nightmare inducing, but often funny and full of pathos in strange ways. Many have been the basis for movies, such as Bladerunner, Paycheck, Total Recall, etc.

Some suggested titles include "Flow my tears the Policeman said," "The Man in the High Castle," "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?," and any of his short story collections.

"Good Omens" by Terry Pratchett and someone else (I forget who the co-author is) is a great book - definitely funny, and I don't see how you can get more "black" than the Apocalypse :-P
