There are so many that I loved! Jany Eyre was a wonderful love story; Treasure Island was so cool with all the pirates and sailing off to find buried treasure; A Tale of Two Cities was a fantastic love story with so much history of France and the musical rhythm in the words! I love classics that inspire, like Huckleberry Finn, learning about love and friendship and responsibility. The Grapes of Wrath was a good one. Henry Fonda in the movie inspired me to read the book and I understood more of the way life was when my mother was growing up in the Depression era. The Good Earth was a wonderful book about a Chinese woman waiting for her husband to discover the treasure in his own back yard, which was her! She was so patient and loving, just knowing that one day he would realize that what he was seeking was right in front of his face the whole time.

Best book of all time-Jane Eyre! A lot of books about women during that time were more or less happy go lucky. Jane Eyre is different. She has a terrible childhood and instead of being pretty she's homely. The book has everything though. Mystery, suspense, romance....it's wonderful.

Count of Montecristo by Alexander Dumas. Its about a young French sailor who was unjustly imprisoned for 14 years before he escapes and ultimately takes revenge on his enemies. The author did a great job describing the emotions of the prisoner.Disbelief, denial, self pity, madness, apathy and finally hope.

I really enjoyed reading "Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain. It's the counterpart to "Tom Sawyer" who was Huck's friend. Read HF as part of my grade 9 Language Arts and read TS on my own afterwards.

I could never pick just one, but I'll try to narrow it to three.
I love Gone With The Wind. I've probably read it more than any other book.
I love Pride & Prejudice. I've just recently discovered its glory.
I love The Count of Monte Cristo.
