Which of the books did you like better? For me it was Angels & Demons...

A&D. They have more or less the same plot and characters. tDVC was a bit of a snooze, but A&D was a good page-turner.

However tDVC seems to have introduced millions of people to the startling revelations that the Divine isn't necessarily male and the Church doesn't always tell the truth, so perhaps it's more significant.

But for those of us who already understood these ideas, A&D is a better read.

I've been trying to read Angels&Demons for the past year! Yes, that's right, a year. I just really don't have the time to read it with three kids, work, after school activities, etc. I'm at page 300, at least that's the last time I read (which was about a month ago)... So far its a good read, and when I finally finish this book, I will try to read The DaVinci Code.

I read Angels & Demons first and then The DaVinci Code, but I also read it before all the hype. While I think both were awesome, I think I may have enjoyed The DaVinci Code more because of all the neat stuff I learned about art. I didn't know much about it before, but the book prompted me to check into some things about famous painters and scientists that I didn't know about before I read it.

P.S. If you enjoy Dan Brown, I highly suggest his other two books (they're all I know of thus far from him): Deception Point & Digital Fortress. Also Steve Berry: The Amber Room, The Romanov Prophecy. Berry was mentored by Brown so the style is similar and just as page turning. Also Clive Cussler is excellent!

My mom praised Angels & Demons, but just shrugged when she talked of The DaVinci Code. She said:
"The DaVinci Code was okay"

I haven't read Angels & Demons but I heard that if you read it before the DaVinci Code, you'd appreciate it more. But it seems the general consensus is that the DaVinci Code was better.

DaVinci Code. Could not put it down. Had trouble getting through A&D.

I like TVC's topics better but A&D's has a better ending and is the original, really. So, I think that I'll keep 'em both in the same place
