What is your native language? That would help - English has a lot of idioms, where "make" and "do" don't actually make sense. For example:

Make a bed (which is an action, not producing a product)
Hairdo (which results in a hairstyle being produced)
Make an appearance (which is an action)

There are also idioms between different variations of English - the British have a shower, but the Americans take one, for example. The best way to learn them is to hear a lot of English and read a lot of English - you pretty much have to learn each one at a time. Sorry, that's not an easy answer :-|

The difference is DO is a PROCESS and MAKE is PRODUCT, here are a couple of examples where the first is correct and the second will give you away as a non native English speaker.
- I must do my homework.
- I must make my homework.

- I will make my bed.
- I will do my bed.

O.K I hope

make means to actually produce something:
I made cookies....I made my bed...I made lemonade...while do is the process...I must do my laundry,...I do my homework at night.

now dont get do and did confused either....I did my homewok last night should not be confused with i do my homework last night

best advice: read more books..study and do your own homework. good luck
