How do you like find out your family tree. Like so you can see what famous ancestor you may have. My teacher traced his and on his mom's side he is related to Abraham Lincoln.

Yes I do have virgin lips and I just wanted to know how it's done. The bit from Sarah Michelle Gellar's "Cruel Intentions" didn't help. Some explain in detail,

Up on the roof top with slips and clicks
Daddy is trying his decorating tricks.

Cussing and grumblings are what I heard
while Mommy shouts, "Hey, that's a bad word."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Chorus"
"Yo, ho, ho, don't you know
every Christmas is how this goes.
Ya, ha, ha, can't you see
I still have to put up the Christmas tree."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We don't have a Chimney, and I wondered quick
how the heck will old St. Nick,

Find a way into our, house this night
the alarm will be set, to lessen our fright;

"insert or not"

Plus we live in Florida ya know,
so there ain't much chance of snow.

But I'll be up sneaking late at 3
and wait under the Christmas tree.

And yada yada yada

It's just PLAY, and FUN, no need to take the irreverent Reverend seriously.

Be well "y'all"

OK after this I may have to shut off my radio. :) Nothing strictly to READ INTO this one.

I saw Mommy kissing "Santa Claus"
in the laundry room so late last night.

He musta snuck in the back door
His coat was on the floor

and he and Mommy were giggling
but I sure don't know what for...........

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BUT I saw Mommy kissing "Santa Claus"
as she led him through the house so deeply dark.
Up the stairs and to her room
as I sat there in the gloom,
Setting out the cookies and milk
I heard my Mommy "swoon"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Then I heard Mommy telling "Santa Claus"
"Hush, yer gonna wake that little boy."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And with a big smile on my face
I heard my Daddies voice
Saying, "Never fear I got him lots of toys."
George Orwell showed us how freedom can be slavery. The other day I saw a definition of freedom that is “when you have nothing left to loose”. What do you think? How do you define freedom? Why?
Empty
a walking catatonic
girl
thick with anger
the clouds crowd out
the sunshine rays
that flicker with shimmer dust
the cat
a pot of gold at the
end of a rainbow
searching for warmth
in a barren place
nothing will grow
in my garden
the pumpkins rot
no soul to carry
they fly,
askew
I used to be in showbiz (stage manager). I have many friends who still are. I have published several things such as magazine articles, essays and even song lyrics, but never a poem. I checked with an attorney. He said that as soon as you post something here, it is 'Published'. You put a time and date stamp on it by showing it to the world on Yahoo!.
The Yahoo! TOS clearly state that Yahoo! makes no claim of ownership. The things you display here belong to you.
However, if you do plan to make a million bucks by sharing your literature with the world, an official copyright is advisable.
Sung to the tune of a pretty familiar Christmas song.
Ya better not grumble,
Ya better not grouse,
Please, please, please
Oh SISTER will you please
Take me by the hand
Let me show you
Where the wisdom lies
See the fishes swimming
In the rivers and streams
This is not a place to urinate
Oh BROTHER stand by me
And see what I see
Are the colors true
What do they mean to you
See the people
With money in hand
It is not all there for you to have
Oh REFLECTION on the broken glass
How can I be this thing
Looking cross-eyed at me
With cheek lines cracking
See the way it separates
As you look for
The real you
