I used to be in showbiz (stage manager). I have many friends who still are. I have published several things such as magazine articles, essays and even song lyrics, but never a poem. I checked with an attorney. He said that as soon as you post something here, it is 'Published'. You put a time and date stamp on it by showing it to the world on Yahoo!.

The Yahoo! TOS clearly state that Yahoo! makes no claim of ownership. The things you display here belong to you.

However, if you do plan to make a million bucks by sharing your literature with the world, an official copyright is advisable.

I was thinking about that.
I was thinking about creating a website about math with different tips and tricks. But that would be free and accessible for everyone which, in principle, won't pay me.
Also I can't use material from other articles written by other people, which reduces a lot the quality. Or...can I?
I like Poetry category because it's one of the few places on Ya where people are CREATIVE.

We can also use the copyright symbol ©; a formal copyright application is not necessary. Thanks for the rules review. (You are certainly one multitalented person)!
