Granted that it pushed the USA into war with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan despite the isolationist opposition in those days. And don't forget the Japanese were defeated after we firebombed and atomic bombed them and killed a large number of their civilian population. And we criticize the Nazis? I have nothing against the Japanese people. Case closed, tragically. Feedback, please.

I auditioned for Mortimer and got Officer O Hara (what's an actor to do? haha) and I'm stumped about what this guy is about. Is he Irish, thus a heavy accent? Or what accent, if any, is necessary? I plan on watching the film over the weekend, but I don't want to base my character 100% off of the one in the film.

Thank you so much for any help! It really would assist me!

How would you make your own gift tag? I just got a computer and don't know alot about them. Do you buy the single pieces of paper like at Hobby Lobby? Or does it have to be thicker paper? I have a paper cutter. Thanks

sigh i feel worthless. ive been getting excited about learning guitar but i just broke a string trying to tune it. i even strung the guitar by myself because everyone was too busy to help me so i taught myself through youtube. i was so proud when i finally strung it. but then i couldnt tune it so i bought a $20 tuner with the money i was saving up to spend for my girlfriend. then i came home today and was all excited so i could learn how to play and then play hey there delilah for my girlfriend. but then i overtuned a string and it broke....

so now i feel like a piece because i havent even begun yet and i already broke a string. when i was tuning it, i was playing the low e string but for some reason it said g, so i just tuned it until the electronic line lined up in the center. then i went to the next string below it and tried tuning it, but then the string broke because i think i went too far. so does anyone know if my tuner was messed up? anyone bin thru something like this? than

I read the definitions provided by answers.com, but I still don't understand.

No, this isn't part of a homework assignment, I'm just curious. A friend sent me a link to this site http://www.sgeier.net/fractals/flam3/ , and I'd never heard of a fractal, but thought the pictures were really cool, so I tried to look up what they were. I don't get it. Can someone explain in non-scientific vocabulary? Small, simple words are appreciated.

Historical records say something about Babylon as a world power, right? How far did this reign spread? Did it reach as far as relatively isolated places like Japan or China? Did it even spread to all reaches of Africa?

Homeless Man And The Coat*

I thought it was very cold
That December night...
While driving to my warm
Home.

Until I saw that man, alone,
By the side of the bayou.
He had lit a fire...
Standing too close
In a shirt and pants...
Holding out his hands to
The warmth.

I drove to a place to turn
Around...went back, thinking
There might be danger if
I stop. I stopped...
Gave him my coat.
It was too large on me.

When I drove off, he was putting
That coat on.

Now, he may have done drugs,
May have drank,
May have been a crazy,
Old sort...
But, he wouldn't be cold again
With
The coat.

My great-grandmother was 100% american indian. Based on her, my ethnic heritage includes 1/8th (12%) american indian.

Various forms ask for ethnicity. Can I check the box that says american indian if I'm 1/8th american indian? Are there any rules about this?

Hello, all. First post here - hope this works.

I'm doing double-sided printing with a desktop color laser printer. After printing, I want to take each sheet and coat it on both sides with a glossy coating, like Hahnemule or PremierArt PrintShield. I need the final product to look glossier and feel smoother, like a page from a magazine.

I can't find any desktop machines for that, though. Everything out there is huge and aimed at mass printing shops - and costs $300k.

I'll buy a spray can and try that, but seems like it would be better, faster, and cheaper if I could find some kind of sheetfed coating machine.

Anyone ever seen such a thing? Any other advice to offer?

Thanks,
Barry

with the daughter. Apparently he said that anyone taking ballet was weak! Do you think a boy can last an hour and take a ballet lesson at my house in this tutu, ballet shoes, and tights?

Should I try and get him out of this or help him into his tutu and makeup!

Answered Questions*

Should I lock the door behind me...
Shut questions out...
Satin pillowcase dreams...
Spirits walk in the bedroom...

My Father carries his pool cue...
My Mother, her dish towel...
Many years. Time stops...
Memories wet the pillowcase...

Tennessee, my beautiful wolf...
Tiptoes to my bed...
Touches her cold nose to my cheek...
Tickles with her eyelashes...

I didn't lock the door...
Pillowcase is dry...
Morning pools of sun...
Light fur, chalk dust on the floor.

.Good Night...

Take a bit of Time...
See your Path.
Use a bit of Sight...
Touch the Thorns.

Warm be your turnings,
In the Mists.
Warm be the memories,
Of your Dreams.

All is peaceful...
All is now right...
Dawn smiles for you,
Through every dark Night.

This Good Night
Is for you...

......Rome's Ninth Legion

Rome's Ninth Legion rode bravely to engage
The Celtic Warriors, protecting land
By rights their ancestral home. Both enraged.
Romans vanished...not even blood-soaked sand.

To this hour, a mystery...
What happened on that day.
No horses, armor ever found...history
And legend...each has its say

About that day...that mist-filled valley.
No Roman, horse, no wagon wheel, ever
Seen again. Legend, history never
Uncovered the truth. Descendants' stories?

Note: This is supposed to be a Disembra(?) .
..........The first is an English Sonnet of ABAB.
..........The second Free Form of ABBA.
..........The third, iambic pentameter.

Oh well, it makes a good story...

I want to find out the history of my family.

If I know my great-grandfather's full name, (First, Middle, Last) can I get information on his wife, their parents and so on?

Or can I only get information on people who I actually know the names of?
