I know that they came here at different times, right around the turn of the century. They were both from Austria and were Croation, but there is no information on the Ellis Island Website, I've tried several different spellings of their names to no avail. My grandmothers name was Louise Zorich (Americanized) and my grandfather's name was Alex Bogovich. I believed that he arrived first and then she. From family stories, she came here with her younger brother/brothers and one of them died onboard and was buried at sea, not uncommon unfortunately.I long for information, especially as I grow older.I'm 50 now and they are long gone. He passed away before I was born and she in 1968.They married and settled in Chicago and had several children, my dad for one.My question is, is there any other way they could have arrived other than Ellis Island or Philadelpia, since I've already checked the websites of both of those ports? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Patty Bogovich/Howard

I was watching a show about earth quakes (History Channel) and they mention an earthquake at sea could cause a tsunami that would send water inland as far as Ground Zero. And immeadiately I knew they meant the Twin Towers. Then I thought to myself: I wonder how that phrase came to be a part of our popular speech and thought? Any ideas....And I would like to know who first said Ground Zero...

Aside from all the interesting theories about why Hitler killed Jews. The bottomline is that the pope was paying for his military armaments and feeding Hitlers soldiers. The Pope paid for the equipment and supplies with a gift from his old buddy Roosevelt. Roosevelt felt it was for a righteous cause so he just borrowed the gold from Ft. Knox. Then it was paid back in silver. Then the silver disappered and America got paper. Pius never used all the gold. He tricked Hitler into the Russian winter. Now all the gold in Ft. Knox is in a vault in Vatican City in someone elses name.

I was listening to a lecture about the brain and consciousness the other day, and the professor brought up the "binding problem". She explained how multiple pathways in the brain form consciousness or something that it is happening to "me", and also seems as a unitary experience. For example, there are nuclei in your brain that process visiual information, some other area does does auditory, and somatosensory and so on, but there is no single place(and neuroscientists have looked) in the brain that makes ALL this information come together yet we dont experience the world as all these bits of information, but in a unitary way. What makes it all come together? i wanted to ask people who know about computers, in what way the processes all get put together to form whats on your screen? is this the processor? and i also want to ask what would the computer be like if there wasnt any integration going on?

Does anyone think this is quite possibly one of the greatest discoveries ever? I can't wait to see what they find from the autopsy. I bet it will be a kick in the teeth to the Young Earth Creationists!

What do you think about it? Do you think its cool, are you not too interested, or whatever? Feel free to give your opinions.
