Many possibilities here.An easy one is Neville Chamberlain,British prime minister before Churchill.he could have stopped Hitler easily before he had his blitzkrieg war machine ready to go.
Another one Robert E Lee at Gettysburg.I would not have ordered Pickets Charge.
George Custer i would not have attacked that village on the little bighorn river.
Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain at the surrender ceremony at Appomattox Court House
Richard Petty at the firecracker 400 in Daytona summer of 1984
George S Patton when he shook hands with General McAuliffe In Bastogne.

This is not to be arrogant: I would probably be me.

I couldn't take the responsibility or the pressures of being any of the people I would want to be. I would love to be one of the great historical generals or leaders, but could I perform the duties needed?

I also think that we all have some purpose to accomplish, so wanting to be someone else is not getting your job done. Just think, some of us on here could be someone historically important someday, we don't even know yet.
