An entire family tree would take you to Adam and Eve (or amoebae if you are a Darwinist).
If you want to know for CERTAIN, have a DNA test done. www.familytreedna.com or https://www3.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/atlas.html

looks like she'd be at home dancing on a table-top with a rose between her teeth, eyes flashing, raven hair swirling, while the men threw coins for 20 nations at her feet and wished they could win her favors. That might be why your family is a bit vague as to gg grandma's past.

The only way to tell is to trace your family tree.

The book could be right, but it also could be wrong as to French, and Jewish is nothing more than an absolute guess.
The key to what you want is a huge red flag on those blank women in the tree. Without verified information on those, you are spinning your wheels.

I guess you belong to the human race, first, then to your anscestors DNA. Why? Your ethnicity is probably washed out, culturation wise. Race, who cares? You are you!
