WOW!
Your 'shopping list' is HIGHLY effective in this one...and, you've got the so-called American Dream in a boxed-in corner, so to speak. Yes, this poem says it, and shouts it...the TRUTH!
I'll take my woods, chickens, and wolves any day...maybe a few donuts from Krispy Kreme a half mile from here...but, I have never gotten caught up in the Dream and don't want to.
I NEED TO LIVE NEAR A POND LIKE EMERSON!

Nothing wrong with dreams, American or otherwise. The problems on your list aren't specific to America. Or do you want to go back to the so-called "Good Old Days," (which never existed) and when you make a phone call, instead of the voice menu, all you have to say is, "Hello, Mabel, get me Charlie, will ya?"
