According to Maslow's law, we need to satisfy basic needs like air, water, food, sex before we can satisfy 'higher' needs. However, monks and nuns are celibate, yet they are still leading normal lives. Does that mean Maslow is incorrect, or did I misinterpret his theory wrongly?

The Washington Post has an article out focusing on a scientist that believes that within the next 20 years medicine and technology would allow people to live for over 1,000 years. Mind you, this is not as vegatables, but with the body of a young adult. My question....how do you feel about this?

It's your shoulder that I cry on.
Your forehead that I kiss.
Your jokes that keep me laughing.
Your company I miss.
It's your house that I flee to
It's you who can't go wrong
It's you that I won't lie to
It's with you that I belong.
Its you that keeps my secrets
It's you who holds my hand
It's you that I will defend
It's you I understand.
It's you that stops me fallng
It's you, my safety rope
It's you, my only hero
It's you, my only hope
It's you who keeps me pushing on
It's you who shares my strife
It's you that says I'll be okay
It's you who saved my life.

Japan, etc? I am curious because the US back then had only been a nation for 150 years and they were able to be the first country to get nuclear weapons over several nations with thousands of years of glorious history.

is it because the US was filled with an influx of different ethnicities of immigrant top scientists that helped this cause or what is/are the reason(s)? (i personally think the US got the nukes first because God is on the Us's side and wants the US to be the most powerful country and police the world, but thats my crazy opinion)

because had the US not gotten the bomb first, had japan or germany gotten it.....ww2 could have been a completely different outcome and today would probably be alot different.

If system integration is difficult then you'd expect that integration a system of surface-to-air missiles and a sensor system, would be difficult ? But why would this be difficult ? It wouldn't be.

A brush of your lips
sends tingles down my spine
the feeling is so light and soft
and won't go away.
The soft kiss on the back of my neck
is like a feather brushing there.
Your whisper in my ear
is so soft and sweet,
it makes me collapse against your chest
and feel your heart beat.
The beating of your heart
matches mine beat for beat.
You put your arms around me
and I melt like soft butter in the sun.
Our bodies become one
as you hold my face
and look into my eyes.
I see into your soul,
it is a magical moment
that will always stay
in my heart forever.
Your lips force mine apart
and you come inside
and I feel your warmth.
I feel your essence, your spirit
and your love.
Your arms become stronger
and I cannot resist
so I return the magical kiss.
Now our souls are intertwined
and we make love
to seal the magic we have found.

I like werewolves. They're just so much more interesting then vampires. They're damned, but at the same time sort of a sign of pity. And they're a lot more complex then vampires.
