There is a craft quality that some craft store will sell. You can guy it from medical supply stores. Call you family doctor see if he has some old stuff. After it ages it's not as good and they throw it out.

You can make your own. Cut up strips of thin fabric (cheese cloth) and dip it into a bowl of mixed plaster and use. Don't mix up much at a time because it sets up pretty fast and and if you mix in small batches you will have less loss.

the correct way to mix plaster; Plaster is mixed by starting with the bowl of water and add plaster to it. DO NOT STIR, add plaster until all the water is gone. Now stir, it is a perfect mixture with no lumps.. If you add more, it will lump. If you stir during the process it will lump.

Plaster heats while setting up so can be uncomfortable on the face. Coat face with Vaseline and have straws for the nose. Try it on your hand or arm first to see if you can stand the heat.

Have you ever had a dentist make a mold of your teach? That nasty, icky mush he puts in your mouth can also be used to do a mold of the face. It set sup in 60 seconds. Call you dentist and see if he has some old stuff he'll let you have. It's expensive to buy. But I use it a lot because of the speed. I can make a mold, make a back up and cast within a couple of hours when it used to take me 4 days to a week.
