I already came up with these:

pros: military experience, better weapons

cons: do not know the land they are fighting on or its benefits

You specifically dealing with the soldiers? I can think of a LOT of pros to being British if you were NOT a soldier. Otherwise, I think you summed it up perfectly. That said, had the homeland been better organized, been out of debt from other wars, been in better relationships with mainland Europe, and had less political upheaval at home... I don't think the cons would have mattered. They would have kicked our asses. Under normal conditions, they had better resources, more money, a better navy, the ability to blockade our ports, and better strategists with experience. Truth is that Britain had other problems that were more important to them, and we got off kind of easy. The real cause of American success: timing.
