I normally use a film SLR which is wound on electronically so you can hear the film wind on.

but I just started using a fully mechanic film SLR and I am not sure if the film is winding off after pressing the shutter???
I can only hear the shutter mirror clicking and no other sign (visible or sound) that the film is winding on.

Is there any way I can be sure that the film is winding on so that I dont waste a whole roll? If it has worked... ive already exposed half the film!

Is it best just to expose all 24 shots and then rewind it???

thanks

I'll check out both acoustic and classical, although I'd prefer acoustic. 3/4 scale is fine. If anyone could suggest specific models they've happened across that seemed unusually lightweight, it would be greatly appreciated!

On page 107 of Science and Religion by Edward Grant, it states that Clement of Alexandria believed that philosophy and Christianity went hand in hand; due to the fact that Greek philosophers “drew their ideas and inspiration from the Old Testament.” Then it also goes on to say that Clement thought that we can’t help but to philosophize because “if we are not to philosophize, what then? (For no none can condemn a thing without knowing it): the consequence, even it that case, is that we must philosophize. So if religion never came about where do you think that the philosophers would get their “ideas and inspiration” from?

Dear All,

What a programmer can do to make life better for people?
It is like what a doctor named Patch Adam did or like doctors who founded Doctors Without Borders did. They are doctors and they use their skills to make people's life better. What a programmer can do the same?

But that's basically it.
Are there nice ones?

I need help adapting the first verse of George Strait's "Check Yes or No". I am a guy, and my girlfriend and I are both in the 11th grade. Basically, I want to have an original way of asking her to our winter dance, and this song is perfect, if I can only adapt it to my life...

My problem is that I am about as adept at writing poetry as your regular scientist, so I would be really appreciative if anyone here can help me out... Who knows, might be a few points involved for the best answer?

What I want changed in the song is this section:

A pink dress, a matching bow, and her pony tail.
She kissed me on the school bus, but told me not to tell.
Next day I chased her round the playground
Across the monkey bars, to the merry-go-round

Clearly, in 11th grade we don't go on the playground anymore :( and girls don't wear pink dresses either. My gf dresses normally, not preppy or w/e.

If anyone can somehow find a way to make this work, you will be my new best friend! (not really sry :p)

Two men are trapped in a room for a set period of time. After that time, they will be released. There is only enough food and water in the room for one man to survive. If they share, both will die. What is the most utilitarian thing for them to do? (That is, what will result in the maximum to the maximum number of people?)

I was wondering if I could get anyone's opinion on if they think Lady Brett Ashley was a good role model for women or a bad role model for women in the 1920's after WW1, AND WHY?
