Yes there is, and No you don't love them less if your love is unconditional. That is a question that is answered when you become a parent. That love is paid for by the giver, not the receiver. If you believe in the Christian "God", then that would be the best example. That doesn't mean that there is no punishment however, so that is the truth behind the cliche "It hurts me more than it hurts you."

In a marriage or romantic relationship, however, it should not be unconditional. If it is, it is not an adult relationship. That is why those relationships require work and great care to maintain and grow.

love is a decision. if someone does something to betray you, you make a consious decision to love them less. Instead of loving people selflessly, we often love people as long as it is convenient or easy for ourselves. This is the cause of a growing divorce rate. There is such a thing as unconditional love because that is the kind of love God loves us with all the time.

You tricked me by asking two questions.

Yes; there is such a thing as unconditional love.

No; when you have been betrayed you don't love them less - unconditional love.

But you do get smarter.

And you realize, in unconditional love, that you don't have to put up with everything they do.

Because you have unconditional love for yourself.

Uncoditional love means that we share whole heartedly the death and passion of our lord Jesus Christ, on the other hand, we embrace or accept all the trials, sufferings that we encounter in our life but let us always remember that behind of that their is salvation, salvation in the manner that we can attain it if we have a greater faith, hope, and trust in God, " For God nothing is impossible"... AMEN... P.S, pls read more the Holy Bible you can really find the answer of your question...

Yes, from a young child. I've yelled at my children and gotten mad them even when they didn't deserve it. They forgave me just like that. If only we could all learn to love like a child. We would all be saints. And I'm not religious.

No, absolutely not...and these people who have had ''near death experiences'' and say that they had experienced unconditional love, but they are sent back to earth...that's not unconditional love...I don't believe in it.
