I have been an artist my whole life. I'm really pretty good (if I do say so myself. LOL!!) and it has been my passion as far back as I can remember. I've placed in the top 3 at several local art shows, and have had people buy my work a few times.

So I decided to become an art teacher. I went to college, and in the first semester of my Freshman year, my dream got squashed.

I had this professor who was HORRIBLE. Every day he sat us in a circle, put a still-life arrangement in the middle of the floor, and told us to draw. Then after about 5 minutes (not nearly enough time) he would tell us to stop. Then one by one, he would literally tear our art work apart. He would scream and yell about how horrible it was, and then sometimes shred it in front of everyone and throw it at the wall.

He did this every day until we started making art EXACTLY the way he did. Which is the worst thing you can do to an artist. Could you imagine if all art work looked the same? BOREING!!

Some people have been known to take the command "follow me" and have crucified themselves to follow Jesus. Are you that much Christian. If no, you are talking misleading others and discrediting Jesus.

Thinking like an utilitarian...what would you choose? You have an extra hundred bucks.......you saved for something you wanted for a long time, however your mom's birthday is coming up and you forgot her last year, so while contemplating this you notice a poster of a starving boy. So what would you do, buy that item you longed for, buy your mother a birthday present or donate money to the starving boy in poster??

I'm making a necklace and want round malachite beads. Found some- trouble is how do I know AAA malachite beads are quality beads? If the hardness is only 3-4, is it harder if it's stabilized? and how can David Yurman sell a malachite beaded necklace for $2, 300? I want to use them with 14K gold so I don't want to use a soft gem. Please be specific.

I have a digital photo I wanted printed, taken on an Canon EOS model camera. The print is for my Dad for his Birthday, and I want it too look good.

I have used the "digital printing services" in places like Jessops and Boots for other photos, however I find they often get the levels wrong, often too dark, or the colours are slighty out. So I'm looking for a professional printers who can print the photo as it looks.

Any help or suggestion on places to try would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

stop a poisonous tongue from spraying its venom on their family members for good. Now keep in mind that this person is extemely self seeking & makes up lies on other members of the family, which can eventually jeperdise the relationships that the family have with each other...

I read these two books when I was probably 8 or 9 (I'm 23 now), and I can't think of what they are.

The first book, well, I thought the title was "Youngers Against Olders" but I've searched everywhere using that title and I can't find it. The book is about a bunch of kids campaigning against their older siblings because they're not being treated fairly or something. I remember the library cover was yellow.

The second book was about a girl named Suki who was jealous of her older sister, and she has two best friends and they tried to do something at a skating rink.

I know this is totally random, but it's been bugging me for years. I appreciate any help in advance!

My boyfriend is auditioning for A Christmas Carol and needs a song to sing for the auditions. He is a tenor and he needs a song that is short. He can't memorize lyrics super fast so, it needs to be something easy. I was thinking of him either as Bob Cratchit or Young Scrooge (He looks older than he is but, he still gets put to play young guys all the time). Any help would be appreciated!

This was prompted by my other question about which of the two makes one act more foolishly.

I'm sure most of you have heard the same thing somewhere or the other before.

But contemplating it come more, I find it hard to believe. Isn't love supposed to be a positive feeling and hate a negative one? Or is it something to do with degrees of love?

Can a person who hates terribly, love to a same degree? Have you seen anyone like that ever? I haven't, really. But then, I'm only just 18 and I guess my experience is almost nil.

Should it be 'obsession mistaken for love and hate are two sides of the same coin'?

Is it really love? Or is it some twisted fancy of the person "in love" who acts as madly as if he were vehemtly hating?

What do you think?

Can anybody tell me of some major events that happened when Thomas Jefferson was in office? Both Vice President and President. But he has to be related somehow.

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W55, and I've been told that I can get up to a 15 second exposure with it on "manual" mode. But I can't find where to change the exposure time (I'm not sure if "shutter speed" is the same thing).
