Hi Rena,
I thought of Karma when I saw the words Divine Justice and I do believe in doing-unto-others-as-you-would-have-them-do-unto-you. I would never consciously hurt or upset anyone. What does Divine Justice mean to me in this life: it's difficult to say because life certainly isn't easy and for all I'm putting into it, challenges and difficulties keep on coming. But I live in a beautiful place and I have a wonderfully loving family. Divine Justice or Karma, however, is I think 'dealt out' through a series of lifetimes, not just this one.

I don't see a divine justice concept as having much influence.

From my lifelong observations, people who tend to do things that society considers "good" also tend to have positive reactions and positive emotional paybacks. People who engage in what society considers "bad" tend to reap the opposite reaction.

Of course, someone who socializes with folks who have no respect for human life or the rights of others tends to be tretaed that way as well. It isn't divine justice payback, just that the lifestyle tends to deal out bad results for all participants.

It is a sort of an "if you hang with OJ, you may literally hang with OJ" viewpoint.

Hi Rena, wouldn't you just guess I would have a slightly different slant. I look at Divine Justice much as I look at teaching my children. The goal is not punishment, I love them. The goal is to aide them is learning, understanding, & developing honor, morals, & ethics. So it is much more so with our Father. Karma is not a punishment, infact it is infinately loving. The goal is to wake us up as gently as possible. Now, sometimes we just refuse to learn the lesson, & this can be preceived as painful {she understates}, but that is our rebellion acting out much as a teenager might. So I really see Divine Justice as mercy, because once I learn the lesson, all is forgiven. There would not be any more reason once we have truely learned the lesson.

To me, the term "Divine Justice" means the same as Judgement Day, when God destroys all bad souls and the rest of us will reside with Him in Heaven and the meek will inherit the Earth.
Good luck and may God bless you.

Divine justice is when I have unkind words with my wife, and drive to work against all red lights and nutzo traffic.
Its when I hold my daughter and the sun breaks out of the clouds for a ripping sunset.
It is when God speaks to me about how I am doing and how he feels about it.

Well I guess, if you think of O.J. getting thrown in the slammer, and possibly for life, over robbery and kidnapping, I would call that Divine Justice, and karma. I don't really know, I haven't really thought of it I guess.
