I just read 'The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer, My Life At Rose Red.'
Steven King filmed a mini-series about the house. The story takes place in Seattle, WA.
Of course I don't believe the haunted tale, but I have heard of a huge house that never was finished. I am trying to find a photo of it.

If so, how long? Or is the classification as a novel have more to do with plot and genre rather than length?

I am writing a paper and I don't have time to go through the novel line by line.

Thanks.

Theater Doc mentioned a dialect that actors from years ago used to use that was a sort of British dialect. My question is: Are there classes available that still teach that dialect? And would it be useful in today's theater? Thank you.

I have just finished reading the book the secret, I'm not sure what to believe. For those of you that have, and believe in it... could you tell me your stories? Meaning, what did you think positively about for so long, it happened?

My daughter is reading and studying some of his speeches and letters and having to answer questions about them. Rest assured, she really has an appreciation for the speech of that time period, but we really want to dig into them more. We wanted to see if someone had put his speeches into current every day language. We found a "blog" where someone had translated his farewell address and it was helpful, but a little crude and out of character for George Washington. Anyone know of a site or even a book that has done this? I compare it to having different translations of the Bible for better understanding. While I still respect and appreciate the words, when I am studying, I understand them better in more modern language. I have asked this questions in different forums, hope I have better luck here.

...I mean...I haven't even gone to bed, yet...and I'm pretty sure the congregation wouldn't be happy if I suddenly puked up grape juice on the "Oh Holy Moly Alter of Christ Almighty," right?!?

I suspect even Jesus would watch some football on Sunday during this time of year, and nurse his own hangover...after being splayed out like a laboratory frog on a couple of T-shaped 4" by 4"'s, and spending the next 2000 years listening to all the rabble about his own execution, I would think He'd be ready for some beer and pretzels relaxing in front of a large-screen T.V.

What do you think?

this wasn't a random book, it was a book signed by an authoour with a message from him inside, i burnt it because he broke my heart, he was somebody i knew and worked with.
by burning it i felt alot of closure.
