Nope. If you can't handle what you are then you ought to not be a writer. Writing takes a thick skin and being able to handle trudging through slime in order to work your way up. Difficult, yes, but not impossible.

A beginning writer is just that -- a beginner. Calling them professional writers or any variation of an experienced writer is more of an insult, especially to those who have worked their way up.

What else are people supposed to call beginning writers anyhow?
