Philosophy has many good stories, all of which comprise its history. Read the story of the life of Socrates and his students. Read The Consolation of Philosophy by Boethius where Dame Philosophy appears to the author in his prison cell.

Philosophy started the first time a caveman began thinking about the reasons -beyond the self evident- why and how thing are... extrapolating based on premises and reasoning. Yet, you must mean some form of predefined idea of philosophy!
Probably, at the same time shamanism developed in the mid to late stone age. When a respected figure of wisdom and general knowledge plotted out basic ideas of what, how and why things are for a specific group. That action sparked thoughts and arguments on ideas beyond the everyday practical things. A more specific date for that is impossible to determine.

i personally give much credit to Aristotle who is the father of thinking, he questioned everything, and in turn we have philosophy
