I heard this question before. Lol
If you are one of those annoying control freaks"obey me-I-am-always-right" people who keep on mouthing the same quotation again and again
"insane people are those who do the same thing again and again and expect a different result"
then you belong to rocks and barnacles of creation, the "wall" that keep killing every new ideas hatched by humans and their spirits.
Insane people are like dogs on chains who keep on yanking the bounderies set by the rocks and barnacles of creation to discover lands and life beyond the rocks and barnacles.
With luck and gods blessings, they sometimes do succeed. These insane people are the survivors of our planet. The ones who have been told they will not survive and will only perish if they keep on doing the things they do.
I bow my head to thank the insanities and daring of the human spirit.

A person is insane when they keep trying the same solution to a problem, even though it has always failed in the past.
They behave as though the world will do what they feel it will do, instead of dealing with it the way it really is. Then, when it doesn't, they can't handle it, and act as though it did. They ignore anything that doesn't fit into their definition of how things around them should be, or try to destroy it.
(sound familiar president Bush?)

not being able to tell what you are doing is dangerous when it clearly is like playing chicken or hanging out of high rise windows for fun. grandiose ideas about yourself or hallucinations not drug induced. signs of some disorders are becoming aggressive for little or no reason, severe mood changes, illegal activities such as fraud, or theft, going from creative and insomnia to unable to move at all. also some ocd type activities are a sign.

The inability to tell the difference between right and wrong in an individual that should otherwise be culpable. Any decent dictionary will tell you pretty much the same.
