I just bought tickets to a stage play that stars some of my favorite A-list screen stars. However, the date I chose falls into the "preview" window and the "official" opening isn't until the next day (which I hadn't realized when I made the purchase). What's the difference between preview and official dates? Will I get to see my favorite stars at this "preview" performance? I like stage shows, but I must admit that I don't know many of the technicalities, and also, I'm mainly attending this specific play for the privilege of watching my favorite A-list actors perform live.

I write somthing and I think it just OK, BUT I WANT TO BE GREAT!! I'm 13 but I can write really well for my age. But somtimes I feel as if I am not writing as well I can. I feel like all of my work could be better but I don't know exactly whats wrong with it. I read alot, Stephen King,JKR,Lemony Snicket, and many others. And I absolutly adore writing!!!!!
But I just feel like I can do better!!!!
What do I do?!?!!!?
Are there any other exercises I can do besides reading and writting other short stories?

I have a new digital camera, it takes great photos in good light but in my apt at night it makes it look like a cave. Anyone know how i can spend maybe $10 at walmart and get good lighting? My current idea is to take a stand I already have, attach a white floodlight that faces a diffusing surface, something refractive like a large sheet of white card stock, or silver cardstock. Anyone have any other/better ideas?

Life gives you a wonderful love, so much of everything that you have always wanted, BUT there are big health problems that indicate a very rough road and early loss of the love. Do you go on or look for the exit?

Which should you listen to more?

example: We in America believe ourselves to be moral, charitable, god fearing people who have opted to spread our way of life around the world.

The world sees us a tyrannical gluttons with no morals who just want to exploit the weak to become richer.

Which point of view is reality? Which is more important?

NOTE: this is not a hate America statement, it is simply the easiest example I can think of.

The first agent I called turned me down flat because she said I had no authority on the subject (a religious theory) she said unless I had some degree in theology noone would want to represent it and a question that kept coming up was 'who are you to tell me about God?' and they didn't mean it in a bad way-they are trying to make it clear that I'm no expert SO I've decided to make it into a story book although I have some big ideas I'm unsure how to tie in my religious theory.

My question is basically what is a good way to get my book on the shelves, that includes getting an agent etc

this question intrigues me. i havent gotten around to asking how this could occur.

how could the participants of WW1+2 (Britain, France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Russia) muster millions of men for world for the second world war when they lost so millions in the first? i dont think there was enough men to create a baby boom in the 20s and 30s. can someone help me out?

also what was the male-female ratio of these countries in respective wars? how long did it take for these countries after both wars to replenish its male population to equilibrium?

I was at Gettysburg last week and there are dozens, if not hundreds of cannons decorating the park (and the town).

Where did they get them all? The Armies certianly did not leave them behind, they would have had to have been purchased by the Park Service at some point, I guess. Are they real? Are they replicas? Did the US Army retire them when they were obsolite?

I am a member of our up-and-coming theatre guild in my community, and I was wondering where you could find hard copies of scripts for sale online. We would like to purchase just individual copies at first, so websites with a minimum purchase requirement aren't for me.

We are considering plays like "High School Musical" and other youth musicals/plays.

i live in a foreign country where i mostly understand the language. but my art teacher (who doesnt speak english) tries to teach me how to do that thing when you look at a still life (not drawn) and measure it and then draw it on your paper. its that thing that you see in the cartoons when they use there thumb and squint. my teacher says something like the length is the same as the width or something like that. and that i have to measure- i dont get it!!

if it helps: when she tries to explain it to me she usually puts a cloth as a background with a half open pot with fruit next to a little tiny pot with a long handle. i have to do it as a pencil or a charcoal drawing

please explain to me how to do it!!!!
if you need more details, because i dont know what else to write, write it in your answers(along with your answers)
