i dont know what country you are in but here in the US you can contact the agency you were adopted from if you are over 18 [i have a friend who is doing the same thing] what happened to her is they sent her a paper that she had to fill in telling them what she wanted and then she had it notarized and they just sent her a paper with tons of information and an original birth certificate.

In the U.S. it depends on if your adoption was sealed. If it was sealed you will need to petition the court to open the records to you. If your bio parents said they want no contact then you will have no chance of getting the records opened.
