...I mean...I haven't even gone to bed, yet...and I'm pretty sure the congregation wouldn't be happy if I suddenly puked up grape juice on the "Oh Holy Moly Alter of Christ Almighty," right?!?

I suspect even Jesus would watch some football on Sunday during this time of year, and nurse his own hangover...after being splayed out like a laboratory frog on a couple of T-shaped 4" by 4"'s, and spending the next 2000 years listening to all the rabble about his own execution, I would think He'd be ready for some beer and pretzels relaxing in front of a large-screen T.V.

What do you think?

Just as you needed a break from God, He'll likely appreciate a Sunday without you interrupting the sermon with philosophical musings.

The ladies of the choir up front will also be glad not to spend the entire service scowling at you. Scowls look terrible with their lovely new hats.

I think you will burn in the etnernal fires of damnation in the nether regions.. though we are talking about football season and God is supposed to be merciful. Though if God does have a sense of humor he might make you watch some bad games since it is YOUR own fault with the hangover....and then tell you see what happens!!!

1st of all you probably wont burn in hell if you repent for missing church..2nd what church do you go to that has services that time of day ....most games start after church is over any how...it was set up that way by god cuz he is a sport...and if you do go to a church that happens to have services during that time just take a little handheld tv with you...and when ever something goes good for your team just yell...amen...beam me up lombardi

Sunday is supposed to be a "Day of Rest"...how can you rest if you've got to get to church...sounds like an oxymoron to me! Besides, the Pastor has to go off to work...and who pays the guy's salary--of course you do, so you get shafted both ways: by being told that you can't lie in bed and that you must go to church by a guy whose salary you pay! If you'd stop paying the Pastor's salary, there wouldn't be anyone there to tell you to go to church, and then you could lie there in your cozy bed!

Beer, pretzels, and football on the big screen in exchange for a mass, equals purgatory.

Don't sweat it, You are human. And I think Jesus would be worrying about allot other things in these terrible times. Just be happy and enjoy live peacefully. Life is to short to waste!

You must be catholic, you must be feeling guilty, and yes, you will "burn in hell" because you believe you will.

So, a few thousand years ago, man had been told to set time to honor god, give thanks, remember the sacrifice of men who set him free.

Now a few thousand years later, man is steeped in his own business, throws in some debauched moments on his own and forgets the simple reminder to pray.

Hell... oh... no.... not forever... you just have to "pass through the fire" ;-) It's kind of a refining process.... burn out the dross and leave the gold....
