Hi all

I need to answer how Vikings made negative AND positive impacts on medieval European society.

As for negative, I know that they attacked and plundered villages, destroying / killing homes and people... etc.. but nothing else

As for positive, I know that they were leaders in shipbuilding and trading, but that's about it

can you guys help?
thanks in advance

Since i discredit god through science, How can i say that ther is such a thing as right and wrong, without a true standard to compare it to? I do not believe that man is a reliable source for this standard, due to ever changing, accepted standards of right and wrong throughout history. Please I do not want anyone to try to convert me with their answer.

Honesty embedded in life-style, isn't this the most efficient
way of life? Everything out in the open, and knowing
what makes the life-style convenient for everyone involved.
What good is the right to congregate and establish
relationships if the people involved are deceptive for
reasons of self-convenience? Shouldn't relationships
be based on mutual convenience? I am not insisting
that everyone be friends. Quite the contrary, I am
insisting that people rationalize relationships, and not
form meaningless relationships. Relationships without
purpose are bound to be out of sync. In your opinion,
which country is most self-moderated at an individual
level? For example, I haven't studied law, but I manage
to stay within the laws simply by being courteous. Therefore,
which country could you most easily imagine to be orderly
in the absence of any law system or punishment
consequences? Courteous people don't need the
deterrent of punishment; they know the benefit of candor.

All the HP hoopla has me thinking... There have been many wonderful book series over the years... what's your favorite?

Myself, I once got addicted to the wagon's west series, and 37 books later I was at a loss when there weren't anymore...

I could

I could like you
Because you’re sweet to me
I could hate you
Because you change when other people are around

I could like you
Because you care about me
I could hate you
Because you sometimes ignore me

I could like you
Because of the way you look at me
I could hate you
Because of the days I’ve cried over you

I could like you
Because of the way you talk to me
I could hate you
Because of the time you have hurt me

I could like you
Because you treat me like a queen
I could hate you
Because when you leave I feel like a part of my heart has been ripped out

I could like you
But I don’t
I could hate you
But I don’t
Because I LOVE YOU

Based on these, do you have any suggestions?

Other than the obvious, what is the process for writing a book and putting it on the shelves?

I started writing a book for fun and it's turning out pretty good. Should I decide to put the time and effort, I was wondering what steps I would need to take to actually make money from selling it. Thanks.

I haven't read the book, nor will i be getting it until the paperback is out so i am bound to find the answers before i read it. The below are my predictions for the outcome to the book, if anyone reads/ has read it then let me know how close or way off i am!!

1) Harry Potter lives and settles down with Ginny Weasley
2) Ron and Hermione finally get it on
(this way you know they will all remain in each others lives after the stories end)
3) Hagrid and Voldermort die.
4) Dumbledore never really died, it was faked in some way or another.
5) Snape has been a good guy the whole time and was somehow implemented to protect Harry

Yeah I guess I have been living under a rock or something.
