I know it is hard to tell, but here are the details,,My wife is very attractive and has a great body and has always dreamed of modelling (she is 21) In the paper was an ad for persons to come and interview at a place that they made clear was not an agency, but only supplied people to agencies. Their references seemed to support that they had in fact had clients that had gotten work,,they required no up front fees other than needing a card with her headshots that could be done with a local photographer that they of course contract with, for around 700 dollars or we could have them done anywhere we wanted, just bring them the headshots and that was it. They made no promises just said "bring us the photos (or schedule with their photographer) and we think she has a good chance of getting some work when we send her to the calls." Is this for real? How can I identify a scam and if this is something questionable, what is the best way to get started? Thanks so much!!

The book is by Anne McCaffrey I have benn reading her books for a long time and when the twin Petaybee book came out I just had to have them but now I am waiting for the third book and I just am trying to find out if anybody knows how or where I can find out when it may be out.

Occam's razor states that the simpler explanation tends to be correct. Is this merely heuristic or is there a metaphysical reason why it works so well in science?

Sometimes, ideas that violate Occam are the products of wishful thinking. With extreme vanity, man once believed all planets and the sun orbited the earth and invented many specious arguments to explain "retrograde" planetary motion.
The Biblical view that god created millions of species and their habitats separately flatters man's ego as being all for us, the lords over this extremely special creation.

"Tautological nihilism" attempts to explain the world without invoking any hypotheses, principles or substances.

Harry, Hermione and Ron go to the Shrieking Shack, where they see Voldemort kill Snape, believing this will transfer the Elder wand's power to him. As he dies, Snape gives up memories to Harry, which reveal that Snape was on Dumbledore's side, motivated by his lifelong love of Lily Potter. Snape was asked by Dumbledore to kill him if the situation demands it; the curse placed on the horcrux ring limited his life, regardless. Resigned to his fate, Harry sacrifices himself to Voldemort, and is seemingly killed, although it is unclear if he actually dies. Meeting the deceased Albus Dumbledore in what appears to be a deserted Kings Cross station, he discovers he was the final horcrux and needed to die before Voldemort can be killed finding that the spell destroyed the part of Voldemort's soul he had inside himself. He also discovers Dumbledore himself sought the Hallows, with Grindlewald, for less than noble reasons; only Harry is worthy. He returns to consciousness/life inside Hogwarts, for a final duel with Voldemort. Nagini, the last horcrux, is killed by Neville using Gryffindor's sword pulled from the sorting hat. Comming face to face with Voldemort, Harry is seemingly faced with impossible odds - with Voldemort posessing the Elder wand, he cannot be beaten in a duel with Harry. However, Harry gambles correctly that Draco Malfoy was the true master of the Elder Wand, not Snape - by Disarming Malfoy, the mastership of the wand has passed to Harry, not Voldemort. When Voldemort strikes Harry with the killing curse from the Elder wand it rebounds on himself, due to Harry's mastership of the wand, killing himself once and for all.

My friend is really down right now. She wants to get an agent for acting but she seems to think that Asians (She's Chinese.) don't get that many chances because the world is still prejudiced.

She has a point. Right now, you don't see many big stars that are Chinese that have been in a lot of big hit movies.

... just to get these fvcking rich a$$holes a punishment from ol mother nature. this country needs something like a huge collapse of some sort, which is already happening, but slowly. something major needs to happen quick. i know some might say that im sick for wishing the country down, but its not for me to choose, it's merely a matter of time till the punishment (that fits the crime) occurs in this country. if all the lies and secrets that occurred in this country (and other countries) were told, it would have collapsed LONG ago. it is like an earthquake, you can feel the early tremors right now, and also like an earthquake, it is needed to get rid of the tension and pressure that has been aggravating the country for so long. it is needed, and the collapse will happen, thank god. it is deserved for this country to collapse. or at least get close to it. it is just that the masses that don't know the truth about human evil think it will be undeserved. it isn't undeserved.

Im doing a school play and in my script, im hoping to move from around the past and present in alternate scenes. We move from the main character's past, and then to the present where and event is currently occuring.However, im quite clueless as to how i can bring out this element in my play to make it clearer to the audience, without resorting to the running across the stage with a large piece of paper saying " PAST", or "PRESENT".

I've had this idea of changing the lighting, such as having a yellow lighting for the past and white to show the present, but some of my members are quite skeptical about the feasibility of this.

Any ideas?
