A pearl is the evolution of a grain of sand that was an irritant, coated and over-coated repeatedly with pearlesence by the oyster it its effort to neutralize the irritation........no I don't think I will be evicted. After I have been pearlized, I'm a "keeper." If an eviction were in the works, it would have occurred when I was just a grain of sand.............. Isn't it amazing how the Universe takes a thing that is rough around the edges and turns it into a thing of beauty.

No. A pearl is something beautiful that grows out of pain. An oyster gets sick and out of that sickness creates something extraordinary. Some of my greatest works (poems, songs, artwork) have been borne our of heartache. I would not give up those feelings because I would not want to lose the treasures that were borne from them.

I'd be the unevicted black pearl. The world is always our oyster. Some people just perceive the oyster differently.

Yes, just like all pearls eventually are. Then the oyster and I would probably miss each other while we float on the metaphorical waves of the metaphorical ocean.

If I was a pearl I would run out on the rent and change my name to peg !

I know of a Peg who is trying to become a pearl, and that is another sad story.
