people who don't want to know can't avoid seeing? I mean like posting questions like. Were you sad when (fill in the blank) died? or Why did (blank) marry (blank)? Personally I would like to see such people do a few years of detention with Prof Umbridge and spend the rest of their lives wearing T shirts that say. I Gave Away the Ending of Book #7.

(1)

The world I love
The tears I drop
To be part of
The wave can't stop
Ever wonder if it's all for you

(2)

All in all I'm
Loving every rise and fall
The sun will make and I will take
Breath to be sure of this
In the end
All will be forgiven when
Surrender rises high and I
Gave what I came to give
Say it now because you never know

>> I'm thinking about getting one of these as part of my tattoo. Which one do you guys like better (first or second one)?

I am pagan and have been for a long time. I had always believed that Christians took beliefs from the Pagan religions and added it to their own. However, after much research, I have learned that this is not true. The reason is because all of the myths that are similar to Christianity are not really older than Christianity. These myths, Dyonisus for example, were not told or written until after the 1st Century. Many respectable Biblical Scholars believe this. I was wondering if anyone had any input on the subject. Does anyone know of any sources that might possibly prove that Christians took at least something from us?

To the Christians.....
I am not disrespecting your religion. You must understand that I am just very curious about this and would like answers based on actual facts.

In 1800 a billion people were sharing life on earth.

In 1900, 1.6 billion were feeling the pinch a bit and wondering where all these people were coming from.

1955 seemed strange. 2.55 billion human bodies competing for food, space, water, energy, comfort.

2.55 billion despite two world wars, a holocaust, a major influenza epidemic in 1917-18.

2006: 6.5 billion people tredding the mudball.

Humans have never achieved the ideal of spreading death of an entire population consistently. A lot of spikes and valleys happen.

Human sensibilities are offended when more than the alloted number of deaths happen during too compressed a time-span. An earthquake, 100,000 deaths raises eyebrows. A tidal wave.

But the challenge for 21st century planet walkers seems to be finding a way to keep that 6.5 billion from reaching 13 billion by 2075. Birth control hasn't approached the problem, and isn't likely to do so.

What do philosophy, religion, and science have in common? What distinguishes them from each other? Is philosophy incompatible with religion?

I stumbled upon a article about an ex-atheist having a near death experience. Naturally, after "his experience" he now believes and is a Rev. for the United Church of Christ.

Personally, I'm not an atheist, and I think organized religion is dangerous, to a certain degree. I still haven't established any beliefs, except for maybe that I hope there is a God or some higher being. I guess that would be make me an agnostic, right? haha.

Here is my question: How does some one read this? Should it be read as an indication that MAYBE there is a heaven and hell? That maybe we should believing. Should it be ignored and considered as propaganda?

Here is the full article:

Here is the shorter version:

One more thing, I believe there are other sources and book in the world than just the "holy book."

One last thing, I've read "The End of Faith."

(Sighting) Earlier this week, when the rain was falling down but higlighted with the natural light of the sun - The sight was stunning! It was the most perfect, blissful Summer's evening full of fluffy lavender clouds.

(Feeling) Rain again! Yesterday I was caught in the midst of the extreme weather while walking home from school. To begin with, I panicked because I had to walk with my eyes closed where and had trouble breathing. Then .. It turned into one of the most beautiful feelings in the world, the intensity was magical.

I digress..

I would love to here your sights and feelings of the week! Have a wonderful evening! :-)

There are two kinds of pretending. There is the bad kind, as when a person falsely promises to be your friend. But there is also a good kind, where the pretense eventually turns into the real thing. For example, when you are not feeling particularly friendly, the best thing you can do, very often, is to act in a friendly manner. In a few minutes, you may freally be feeling friendlier.
So my question is: Can deception - pretending something is true when it is not - sometimes have good results?

The bomb is about to blow,
I fear this will be her last day,
After tonight she will have nothing left to say,
The bomb has blown,
It announced it in a firery tone,
The mill lit up in a blaze,
The crowd was sadly watching, their mind in a daze,
Screaming Sirens,
Children crying,
The firefighters bring out bodys all smoky and black,
Nothing is intact,
When everyone is out,
Some one yells without a dupht,
"Someone is in there."
It echos out like the roar of a bear,
The firefighters go back into the mill,
They hear a faint scream that's very shrill,
They see her, coughing,
She was only out shopping,
The firefighters bring out the motionless body all black,
This was the cruelest of all hacks,
They lay her down on the cold bare ground,
They listen to her heart but hear no sound,
Her eyes open as faint as ever,
She tells everyone to forget her, never,
She flashes a faint smile as her eyes start to close,
Nobody knows it but her spirit has arose.

I've been contacted by Barbizon Modeling/Acting Agency a few times.

They even had Katie Holmes and Jude Law's former manager to represent me.

I turned it down because I didn't have any headshots, or much acting experience, but now i wanna be in the Disney Channel.

I'm 17, but i look like i'm 14-15, so i thought Disney was the best way to go.

Is Barbizon a trust-worthy agency???
