Why do we allow others to shape who we are instead of trusting ourselves, our instincts, our taste? Every day we see fashion fanatics and girls especially who all look the same...as if they have been cloned...:0) :0) :0) :0) :0) :0) :0) :0) :0) :0)

why have we no confidence, we wasn't self conscience when we were running around naked looking for food with spears thousands of years ago . we are cloned really to a state where your trapped in a system of life created buy greed and selfishness and if you don't follow they will belittle you,stop watching TV and reading news papers and find a Hobie you like and you will feel the real you coming back, your instinct will be stronger to help you make the right moves.

WE don't, but some do (sorry, but when you say 'we' that includes me and I speak for myself). Some feel the need to 'belong' - to be accepted probably because they haven't yet discovered how to love themselves and appreciate what a unique individual they really are or acknowledge what they themselves can offer the world.

Some people are more comfortable existing within the confines of a crowd anonymously rather than to take a risk, stand up, and be noticed - which takes confidence and inner strength. After all, if we're ALL standing - who'd be looking?

In general most people like to be liked by other people, we want people to think we are nice or smart or beautiful hence the reason why we seek acceptance from others and when we are criticised or made to feel inadequate in some way, you begin to have doubt and that doubt then comes out in ourselves as being insecure. Hope this clears things up.

I believe they have been cloned, because they limit themselves to what they think they are supposed to be like, because they see some idiotic person on television screenings getting so much attension from imbecils so they think by doing what the person is doing they'll get the same sort of attension. Thats what they want anyways. They seek attension and they'll get it anyway they can. They forget about themselves who they really are, and where they're going in life. They forget whats good for them and whats bad for them, all they remember is whats in front of them, but in reality it's a blinding light, which leads them astray. They will not find themselves unless they decide to get a hammer and un-nail their eyes so that they can open them and see reality. Hopefully that day will come when we all can. Because, we tend to compare ourselves to the people around us! Plus some things are hard to discuss or talk about, we fear rejection or embarrassment. So you live thinking your the only person that has something wrong with you, and are blind to all the millions of people who are also in the same position!
Sometimes we need to talk more and think less! :-)

I'm not insecure. A great percentange of society is. Because from small age the media and society tells us this is pretty, acceptable, likeable. If you are not this then you are not part of us. You are not liked. It's giving into alot of things that are inherent in human nature like vanity.

I am proud to be the awesometastic person i am. ^_^

I like to be my own person of the example you have raised but I do agree that allot of people are like sheep & follow other's to much. I do follow trends to an extent but my overall look isn't something displayed in a shop window I like to put things together my own way not in a hippy dress sense though not that there's anything wrong with that. Each to they're own!!.

It is a dna "herd" thing. We are socialized, taught to be insecure for fear of separation, aloneness and death. Our capacity for self-reflection should get us past this impasse in another thousand years or so. The "bi-cameral" mind only began disappearing around 2500 years ago, so there is hope for us yet.

It is the incompatibility between what we do and what we think that makes us insecure. We do not integrate between our thoughts and action. This dichotomy often makes us feel insecure about ourselves.
