people who don't want to know can't avoid seeing? I mean like posting questions like. Were you sad when (fill in the blank) died? or Why did (blank) marry (blank)? Personally I would like to see such people do a few years of detention with Prof Umbridge and spend the rest of their lives wearing T shirts that say. I Gave Away the Ending of Book #7.

Yes, I'm afraid death would be a little extreme, as would the cruciate curse, though not by much, many would agree.

Being shunned might actually happen. People who have a reputation for being book (or movie) spoilers often find that they are not welcome in the best of company.

Oh,dear.....I like the T-shirt idea, but, how about making them re-write all the endings they`ve spoiled, with a condition that it has to be completely original-unseen and unheard of. Now I wonder how far would they get?

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I mean, what's the point of ruining the whole thing for everyone? Some people have been waiting for so long to read the last and final book and wham-it's all over for them! Someone just had to spill the beans and give it all away. I like your T-shirt idea a lot!

Would death be too harsh? Maybe, but I am not sure.

Perhaps they should be shunned by society forevermore.
