They got their own precious selves from their ancestors to start with. Then this world, and the knowledge about the world, and glorious stories of the past, great ideologies and philosophies to be proud of, the historic buildings and the regions of land well divided into countries, the peaceful landing on the Moon - nothing is divided there yet, it all belongs to whosoever gets their wherever, then not to forget landing in Iraq and Afghanistan, discoveries of tombs, inventions, and then there are times, and in times anticipations for a better future, always, hopes to see this world to be a peaceful place one day, the media, the newspapers the Internet, the realisations that the younger generations are always smarter and more intelligent than the older ones – a difference that then they have to measure up with their show of respect, love and fear for the older generations. But the greatest thing that younger generations get from their ancestors is a track record of survival through all ages and in all times and under all circumstance, like competitive jungle dwellings, furious tribal in fighting, wrath of lightening and thunderbolts, and encounters wild beasts and giants, and more recently Eurovision song contest.
We can have all this and enjoy it all a tour own leisure if we somehow manage to mend the earth and stop out of control conflicts of the world. But one must not give their ancestors any blame for any of these mentioned later, as they were the ones who fell into these at the first place, and could not get out of, but we hope that we can. And this hope we also got from our ancestors.

They instilled in me a sense of awe and wonder at the hard work they undertook to become a part of America. They taught me that sometimes you have to sacrifice your own wants and desires to make life better for others. They showed me that family means everything and to always be there to help family, friends and even strangers. They taught me to always be kind to others and to respect others who are different then me. They taught me to have empathy and compassion for others. They taught me to speak out against wrong or evil. They taught me to stand up for what I believe in.

A legacy of unprecedented violence from the last several generations. A habit of thought comprised of alienation from the food chain, pervasive fear and mistrust, flights of fantasy concerning humans somewhere, sometime, having 'gotten it right'.
We ain't leaving you any more than we're forced to.
