The artist's signiture is hard to make out. It look like I Mai.... that's how it looks like it starts with. It's really hard to tell.
The painting is on a black (crushed velvet type) canvas. The painting is set in the forest with ice cap mountains in the distance at the top of the painting. The focal point is an old mill beside a lake. If anyone recognizes who the artist may be, please let me know. Thanks!

I often wonder if my dreams
Are unique to me, alone
Intense, Swirling, Thrashing, Rolling
Colors turn to piercing tones
Strain to snap myself awake,
Break the vapors, Blue delusion,
Twisting, Turning, Searing, Burning
Stagnant time, true illusion
Move just once, my fingers clutch
That subtle twitch that means so much,
Grasping, holding, eye's molding,
Is he there,
Bodies touch,
Blink and think,
To the sunlight I reach,
Do I see you, shining, glowing, stop the flowing,
The battle has been won, "I'M AWAKE!"

These are the words of a Rev. in England:

"Historians work on the principle that the nearer the document you have is to the events to which it refers and the more copies of that document you have the more trustworthy it is. The works of Herodotus were written 488-428 BC. The earliest copy in existence dates from AD 900. There are 8 copies. The time lapse is 1,300 years." These late copies of the works of Herodotus' works are still trusted even with a HUGE time lapse. I am only using this as an example, for there are other documents that have big time lapses as this and yet historians still trust these copies to be reliable. How do historians conclude that documents like these are reliable even when there are major time lapses?

Again

We never make love anymore,
It's gone the feeling from before,
I can't believe It's finally over.

It happened just as suddenly,
as a summer storm you see,
You won't touch me anymore.

Just leave me to wonder why,
Lay my head down just to cry,
What happened to us, me and you?

Is it someone else my love,
Is that why I've gotten shoved,
Right out of our bed to wonder why?

You can't really be this cold,
Down the river I've been sold,
Just another notch on your bed post.

I love dammit, can't you see,
I'll even let you just go free,
Just leave me the arsenic.

Hope you find the love you seek,
I always thought we were unique,
I was wrong as wrong can ever be.

I leave you with these parting words,
We were once like two love birds,
But now you've gone and killed me, like the rest.

I'm looking for some medicine/herbal practices/home remedies that would have been used pre 1950. What I'm actually looking for is a BAD medicine, heh. Something that people used but it was found out later to have actually been harmful. Really harmful. No, I'm not going to poison anyone. This is for a history project of sorts and I'm having trouble finding anything.

I'm looking for some information on old asylums/institutions, etc from 1950 and before. I'm looking for locations, history of, pictures, anything.

If anyone could point me towards some helpful sites, or...if you happen to know of a specific insitution that existed during that time and know some history on it, etc, that would be great, too.

Its like if tens of thousands of years later humanity tries to learn of our history and they excavate the Harry Potter series and they believe its our true history, that we had wizards and magic and this Harry Potter was the "One" who stopped the evil forces on Earth, anyway thats just an example, how do we know the Bible stories were not fiction novels? Im not trying to be insulting Im really seriously asking
