If you can't provide your own art (and sometimes, even if you can) publishers often prefer to use one of their 'house' artists, or someone they have dealt with before. So present your story line to a publisher, and let them take it from there.

Do you??? if so, in simple terms education, wait and notice, and persevere.Take classes or study some stable drawing books like "Drawing on the remarkable fringe of the suggestions'" via betty edwards. a minimum of, you could entice properly adequate to caricature outlines, lay out the scene (attitude), an then you definately can touch up with it on digital. that could help the artist extra, and you'd be extra probable to be happy with the top product that can then be pitched. or maybe, you ought to pitch it besides, and DC comics will hire an artist to do the "actual" comedian and you''ll get royalties??

Check out this artist's website. I've used her for the cover art to a couple of books and interior drawings for my last novel. She's good and her fees are reasonable. Just expect to be very very detailed about what you want from the artwork.

there is at least one message board for that sort of thing; I don't have an address handy (I'm at a coffeeshop) but I think I do at home.
PM me and remind me; I'll try to get it for you by tomorrow.
Also, I'm something of an artist; if it's an interesting project and you like my style, maybe something can work. If not, I'll still give you the board address.

Just practice at drawing... get an art teacher to help you. In about a month, you'll be able to do it yourself... and save money.
I draw.
