I know how to play the guitar but, I don't know how to play slurs. I think that your only supposed to pluck the string once and then cange the note, but I still can't do it

This question occured to me as I was sitting on a plane one day contemplating how some people feel guilty for surviving a disaster many other people do not. It occured to me then that I would be absolutely fine with surviving the crash of my plane, regardless of whether other people did.

To extend and abstract the question, what if you knew that if you chose to die, you would save the lives of perhaps 100 Iraqis who would otherwise die in a car bomb the next day, or 100 people on some island hit by a large wave?

Personally I think I'd much sooner read a news bulletin about the death of 100 people I never knew while drinking my morning coffee than die in their place.

I read Manhunt a couple weeks ago, about the manhunt for John Wilkes Booth and loved it. Last week I read The Kite Runner and loved it also. Now I am looking for an enthralling nonfiction book preferably dealing with American history.

Here is the situation in detail...

I am a college student graduating soon (in 1/2 year) with a visual art degree. Currently, I am already displaying in two consignment galleries. I display prints & oringals. Next month, I am going to my first formal show/exhibition.

Is it still early enough in my career to change my signature?
I also already have a small fallowing of people and collectors.

What should I do? Is it a risk worth taking? What is your advice?

I'm getting married in January. It's a Catholic wedding, so the ceremony will be an hour long and then we'll have the reception. I'm looking for comfortable but pretty shoes. Are ballroom/latin dance shoes a practicle option? Are they comfortable?

I'm learning guitar by scratch, and the way I learn things is by writing down "everything" I need to know about learning something and then going to down the checklist learning it.

A few months ago at a musical show I went to, a girl at my school had a wonderful solo. I saw the show four times just to hear her. I was talking to my friend, who is also friends with this girl, and I asked her what she thought the singer would do if I went up to her and asked her to sing it again for me. I feel like she couldn't very well just say 'no'. She's very outgoing, and goes to a special school for her singing, so she's aware that she's very good. What's your take on this?

The alarm clock goes off and it's six am,
I look at the bed, and really miss him.
there's an empty space in my king size bed,
I wish that beside me would be his sleeping head.

His snoring used to annoy me so much,
now I would give anything to hear it, to feel the touch
of his warm hot breath on my neck,
I wish he were here, God, i must be an emotional wreck.

I loved him so much, why did he leave me,
When he was around life was so easy,
Now that he's gone,
I am all alone.

I find little comfort that I may see him when I die,
Why did he leave, Why?
He shouldn't have died, not so young,
He had a future, and a soon to be born son.

Now his son is twenty four,
and awhile ago he walked out the door,
to go to college and get a carreer,
oh, now I really wish he were here.

I loved him so much, more then he could know,
I just wish I could have told him that before he had to go,
when he died he took half my heart away,
but I hope to see him again some day.
