You will probably think that just listing the current capital for each state in the Conferacy will answer your question, but it will not. The Conferderacy itself had 2 different capitals, and several of the states in the Confederacy had capital changes. Refine your question or read on Wikepedia.

The first capital of the confederacy from Montgomery, Alabama until May 1861. The main capital of the Confederacy was Richmond, VA, it was the capital until April 1865 when Grants army forced the government out. After that the capital relocated to Danville, VA and was there until the end of the war, whatever date you want to assign to that, there are several dates to put on the end of the war, and none are really wrong. As far as the distance, just go to yahoo maps and map them.

Jefferson Davis was sworn in at Montgomery,Al in 1861. Which was the 1st Capitol of the Confederate States. The
other was Richmond,Va. The capitols only existed 4 yrs.
