I read Manhunt a couple weeks ago, about the manhunt for John Wilkes Booth and loved it. Last week I read The Kite Runner and loved it also. Now I am looking for an enthralling nonfiction book preferably dealing with American history.

I haven't actually gotten a chance to read it, but it looks really cool.

Civil rights activist. Born July 2, 1925, in Decatur, Mississippi. After growing up in a Mississippi farming family, Evers enlisted in the United States Army in 1943. He fought in both France and Germany during World War II before receiving an honorable discharge in 1946. In 1948, he entered Alcorn Agricutural and Mechanical College (now Alcorn State University) in Lorman, Mississippi. I love Lewis and Clarke journeys. That's great American history.

Team of Rivals by Doris Kearns Goodwin is about Lincoln and his cabinet. It's really good. It's long, but very readable.
