You'll need to send it to a BUNCH of publishers to get one who likes it. Make sure that you edit it a lot before you send it off, and then make sure you are prepared for a lot of rejection, a lot of criticism, and a lot more editing to be done on your work. Good luck!

Locate a Writer's Market book, either in your library or book store. Inside you'll find hundreds of literary agents and publishing houses, but not all of them want every genre. Select the agent or publisher that will accept your type of manuscript.

Follow their guidelines to the letter and write a query letter that will be stronger than the first paragraph in your book.

Since your book is not fiction, you will need to submit an outline along with the first three chapters to the agency or publishing house requesting it. I suggest you find the manual, " Formatting & Submitting Your Manuscript" by Cynthia Laufenberg. It is an invaluable reference tool for preparing and submitting your manuscript.

Also in this reference book is how to write a credible query letter. Without a superb query letter you may as well go to vanity publishing and pay up front.

Before any submission make certain your manuscript is edited for grammar, spelling, and proper capitalization. That is imperative.

Good luck.

I have a smaller book, along the same lines... or at least part of mine...

I would suggest you apply for a copyright and self publish it on Amazon before you get a publisher, which lessens or defeats your ability to use amazon.

You can make an e-book by visiting https://mobipocket.com and review and apply for a publisher/author commitment and then download the e-book creator and go from there!

No I do not work for Mobipocket or Amazon books...

Your best bet is to first find a literary agent. The good news is, since your book is non-fiction (right?) you don't have to be done with it before you query agents. Only for fiction is it required to have the book complete before querying.

A good website for finding a literary agent is QueryTracker.net at http://www.querytracker.net/ . It has a list of literary agents and also tools to help you keep track of who you already queried and who you haven't, plus more.

They do a good job of keeping the crooks off their lists, but it is still a good idea to double check at http://www.sfwa.org/beware/twentyworst.h...

There are a lot of crooks out there. Never pay anyone to read or publish your book.

Good luck.

Send it to publishers. Or you can publish it yourself at first and sell it at a local bookstore maybe. There are publishing programs on the internet.
