I've been playing for a good while and I want to start a band with my friend, but I'm afraid no one will want to listen because seriously, how many good bands out there have girl guitarists? and I'm not talking Heart or Evanescence or that crap.

I'm not saying we should all be stupid or something. I guess the question that I really want answered is why do people find intellectual people as more superior? is it because of their effort to actually know things? why don't we credit more the physically strong then? I'm numb to answers like, "knowledge is power" or "being informative can take you anywhere".

Not any specific kind of genius, and don't ask the dictionary for help. I want to hear from real people what their own, unfiltered definition of true genius is.

I am getting sick of jobs that are not satisfying. I have a degree and do not have a problem getting hired. The problem is when the company realizes that I'm a good sales person, they stick me in sales. I hate sales. How do I break into TV, Films those people look like they are having fun making big bucks. I read a few books, but they just leave me right where I started. I don't want to do extra work becuase they are not allowed to have any speaking lines. I checked out craigslist and most of the jobs are bogus. Acting schools don't have the answers either becuse most acting coaches are just out of work actors. How can I get lucky like Charlize Theron where somebody walks up to me and puts me in the movies?

...that should be speaking out against terrorism'? I got many answers saying in effect, 'what about the Christian atrocities of the past?' Then I asked, 'What is the name of the logical error represented by these answers?' Nobody understood the second question. Do any of you, in this different category? What is the name, please. (Hint: Two wrongs don't make a right. Right?)

I really want to master the piano. I've started at the age of 4 when my dad brought a piano and starting playing. I have a good ear for music. When my dad played something on the computer, after he'd walk away, I would find the right notes on the keyboard and play exactly what he could. This was at age 4. My dad start a band with me and my siblings and I was a piano player. I didn't do to well because I was taught what to play instead of mastering the keyboard. I was 9.
When I was 9 years old I joined chorus and band for school. I didn't continue with chorus because I didn't like it, but I loved band! I was a trumpet player and I became really good at it. One day on final exams, my teacher had us play scales from a book while reading it. I went and took the exam, played the scales without looking at the book! They were amazed! They thought that I had it memorized meanwhile I was just playing it by ear. Anyway, I havent done band in 3 years. I moved to a diff state were I coudlnt signup

Many people claim that death is the end, and that is why we must take advantage of life. And yet, others have said that Death is the beginning of a greater existence. What is your opinion?

I'm a 17 year newbie to both ballet, jazz, and hip hop - and I love it. I did ballet when I was really little, but quit after about a year or so to pursue my other love - horseback riding. I'm planning a rigourous schedule this summer and fall, and I'm considering doing something with dance in college. I don't think I'd like to major in it (though the idea of owning a studio seems nice - I've always loved the arts, even when I wasn't dancing and have dreamed of doing something in that realm or in competitive horse shows), but possibly a minor or doing a college team?
My question to you is - is this just a silly dream I should give up on? Are college programs just too tough for someone like me?
