I was watching a documentary about dancing in South Central LA and they were showing various dances like clown dancing and krumping. but they also showed little girls (age 6 and up) doing "the stripper dance" all in the name of expression and as a way to avoid gang life. My question to you is. isn't that also inappropriate. Aren't there other alternatives? other dances? or am i making too big of a deal about this? enlighten me please.

Many archeologists think (it's a hypothesis, like mine here) that the domestication of horses goes far back to the 4th millenium BC. That's mainly because they have found wheels of broken chariots dated from that time.

Now, I know that may sound a bit strange, but it's totally serious. These archeologists are paid with big time money.

Anyways, Inuits still use or to drive their sleighs, right? So why would the "first" chariots have been dragged by horses 4 millenium BC, if much less docile were still used to drag peasant chariots during the roman empire's apogea?

And horses, to my knowledge, were never common in Eastern Asia (read: PIEs came from the Southeast, not Southwest).
Boars and wolves were common in Asia though.

Could the pigs and the wolves have pulled these chariots instead of horses?

just out of high school and i have wanted to be an actress for a long time and it now or never. i was just wondering if anybody had any advice on how ot go about it..... besides the usual "enroll in acting classes". i have very little expierience just friends short movies and extra work on 2 feature films filmed here in chicago. i was thinking of moving to LA (not nessasrily to become an actress) but it seems too cliche for my story.

I'm starting a book, its about two brothers living in the time period where blacksmiths, tailors and merchants existed. But im not sure what year that stuff existed in. They want to be book store owners one day and are looking for their missing parents. Then they find a portal to another world with swords and daggers, fairies and other magical creatures. I'm sorta creating a book like the game final fantasy. But i know for a fact that in that time zone, those people had blacksmiths make metal items, the tailors made clothes, merchants sold rare, valuable items and even fruits and other foods. Thats exactly how final fantasy games came to be. But in that time zone, they didnt have swords or armor.... that was later on. its sort of like the pilgrims, in a way. If you've ever played final fantasy crystal chronicles, then you know what i'm talking about. If anyone finds anything, tell me or show me where at. Just email me if you find something that would help me for my book. Thank you.

Can someone reconcile these statements for me?

1. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronze
"With the exception of steel, bronze is superior to iron in nearly every application."

2. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-age_system
[People switched from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age because] "no one would have wanted to use bronze tools if there had been iron ones around instead."

Maybe the second statement should refer to steel instead of (pure) iron. Did the Iron Age start with the use of pure iron, or did it start with steel? If it started with pure iron, then how was it an advantage over bronze? And if it started with steel, then shouldn't it be called the Steel Age instead of the Iron Age?
