Basic rule of thumb: if you need a bra, wear a bra. Readingnut210 gave some good advice. If you need a bra for performance, the goal is to aim for one that is skin tone with clear straps. There are more professional dancers, these days, who wear bras under their costumes for performances, even when bits of them must show. If it's just for class, choose security over style in order to minimize bouncing as much as possible. Some dancers even wear two bras (regular and sports bra).
(People who recommend leotards with built-in "bras" don't understand that there are many dancers who NEEED bras, as opposed to those who just need to cover nipples.)

Do you mean for recitals, or for dance classes / lessons in your studio?
If you are talking about classes or lessons in your studio, you can wear a normal bra and then a leotard over it, or wear a leotard with a built-in bra. Even a cami as long as you are allowed to wear those- I know that some studios are really strict and REQUIRE leotards for any and all classes or lessons. But honestly, none of the people at your studio will care if they can see your bra. You'll probably be able to see half of their bras, too.
If you are talking about recitals, then I feel your pain. Regular bras + recital costumes? Ugh. You SO don't want every single person in the audience to be able to see your bra. I've actually been through this before, though. Rather, my friend has. She's, um, bigger up there, and she actually ended up asking the teacher what she should do. The teacher told her to order a body stocking. It's basically tights that act as tights and a bra. (http://www.discountdance.com/image/140x150/a90.jpg << This is a picture of a body stocking, just in case you don't know what I'm talking about... I'm sure I'm not explaining this right.) They normally have clear, adjustable straps like those on many bras. If you want to order one, there's several on www.discountdance.com (for a great price, too).
I hope I answered your question!

well, it is approiate for larger chested people to wear a bra in class.Usually a sports bra that blends into your leotard, it your are wearing a black leo, wear a black bra. For preformances this is different, depending on the costume, if you can wear a bra and it not be seen you would be able to wear one, but if it is clearly visiable, you will have to get a different bra, or not wear one. Some people think they need a bra, but if you are and A cup or smaller there is no need to wear a bra, some leos have built in support that is enough. Remember most times its just a class of girls, so dont feel self consious.

It depends on what you are wearing. You could wear a normal bra if whatever you wear is made so that you won't see it. You can wear a strapless bra if you don't want to see the straps, or there are skin colored bras and bras that don't have backs if necessary. There are so many different kinds that you'll find something to wear.

I just found the most perfect bra for dancing. Maidenform makes a bra called Dream-Lite. It can be mad to go lower in the back, so leotards cover it. It is convertible and doesn't show under costumes. It's only $20!

Depending on your size you may not. Capezio makes some leotards with built in support. But if you really want one find a simple unpadded bra without an underwire or a simple sports bra will be fine. anything that doesn't restrict your movement or chafe you.

I would go with a leotard with a really good built in bra. If you can't find one then just wear a bra that matches your leotard and is lower, or something that your leotard covers up.

Really, anything that makes you comfortable. Sports bra, or a plain regular one, or a cami with a built in bra. Or none, if that works for you.

well get a built in bra with your suit. If you cant find one then get your outfit and get a bra that's your size and put them together. Make sure it fits because you don't want embarrassment.
