Is man a creator and mover of his life, or does he live at the effect of forces over which he has little control? Does free will exist or are our lives determined by outside factors—and if so, what are those factors? Is there a Supreme Force that intervenes in our lives; or is everything pre-determined from the beginning of time; or is life just random, full of coincidence and accident?

1. What are some of the steps of publishing? 2. What are the odds of getting published? 3. What are the complications of writing under a pen name? 4. Is it possible to get published fairly young? (as in 13-14) I am almost finished writing a novel, and everyone tells me I should think about getting it published.

Do you think persian kings told their people" we, the greatest superpower in the world, will invade Sparta to control all of the trade in the Mediterranean because we are a greedy bunch and because we can, and because our leader is a mad idiot who wants to continue the mad war of his bloody father"?
Or do you think they said " Our God leader who receives direct divine inspiration from heaven will lead us in a winning and just war against the evil and barbaric Spartans. We are the good, and the Spartans are the bad and if you do not believe that you are an unpatriotic filth"

Do you think a Persian citizen then could ever believe that he actually belongs to the a greedy super power? Do you think he/she would ever consider that maybe the Spartans, their religion, their customs and their values aren't as bad as everybody says? That maybe their stand against a super power despite their weakness makes them some form of heroes?!!
Doesn't the past shed light on the present?

From ages 4 to 8, I spent all my time divided between soccer, ballet, gymnastics and tap, but my mom lost her job and we couldn't afford to continue any of my out-of-school activities. I'm almost 17 now, and I have the money start taking dance lessons again, and I would really like to join a cheerleading or dance team in college the year after next. Is it too late for me to start again?

I love to write. I had written short stories and one of the stories has been chosen in a literary contest and its appearing in a anthology of new authors, so i will appear in a book. Some say that you are not an author untill someone publishes you. My appearing in the anthology... makes me an author? Or do i have to wait untill the publishing of my first novel? I do not consider my self as a writer. i define my self as a person who likes to write. Help please!! And thank you to all of you.

I work at a franchise that requires a lot of time for little money in return. I want more freedom without giving up dancing. I was wondering how hard it is to be a freelance teacher (like teaching at schools)

Anybody had any success/drawbacks?

I recently read the novel Shizuko's Daughter and had wanted to know whether the main character, Yuki, is a dynamic character. A dynamic character is one whose personality traits are different by the end of the novel. I don't think that she is, but I would like another opinion. Thanks
