Is man a creator and mover of his life, or does he live at the effect of forces over which he has little control? Does free will exist or are our lives determined by outside factors—and if so, what are those factors? Is there a Supreme Force that intervenes in our lives; or is everything pre-determined from the beginning of time; or is life just random, full of coincidence and accident?

The simple answer here would be your choices in life determine your path. Imagine your life as a boat, your choices are the TINY LITTLE RUDDER. By adjusting this rudder you can get back on course if you have gone off - or you can choose to ignore the course and set a new direction completely. Ultimately it is us who choose our path. There are a few people who I have talked to that did not even know they had a choice because of bad parenting - but once they found that out - everything changed. You can always choose. Don't forget that.
God is omniscient which means he knows everything. Which means he does not make your choices for you but he does know what your going to choose - lol - so predestination has a whole new meaning if you think about it. He chooses you before you were born for a certain task because he knows your going to choose it anyway. I don't believe in coincidence or accident - "the curse causeless does not come." I mean if you eat half a gallon of ice cream everyday and then one day your tipping the scale at 200 don't suddenly wonder where all that weight came from. It starts with that tiny rudder.

A small story to clarify your doubt. A cow is allowed to graze when it is tied to a post with a length of rope. It can graze upto the circumference the rope can make going around. You are also allowed freedom to work up to the length of the rope(results of actions in the previous birth) to go around. You can not go beyond the circumference the rope makes. The length of the rope is decided by the actions in your previous births. Now you have got two options. Either you can work up to the length or keep quiet. Your fate is decided by your own actions and not thrust from outside. God initially has given you free will and you had choice. Once you have exercised your choice, the results are bound to follow. So you yourself has wound the rope around you and cry as 'fate' Hence after few lives your actions will bind you inextricably. Hence every thing becomes pre-determined.

I believe there is a certain amount of predetermination in our lives which can be adjusted with free will. I rest my case.
