I have a cannon powershot SD400 (digital camera) and i am wondering how to manually change the shutter speed. Also wondering, whenever you see cool pictures of blurred rushing water, is that because of a slow shutter speed? if so, i am wondering how to change the shutter speed to make cool pictures like that.

I would also like to know how to take a picture where the background is all blurry, but the object of the photograph is sharp, like those pictures of flowers that proffesionals take.

I have not read the book, but someone in the class that is reading it asked that question which my friend thought was somewhere between funny and pathetic. He then asked me "What color is the scarlet letter?" What is the answer?

And what is the 2000's refered to as from 2000 to 2009? Because if it's the 20 hundreds, then doesn't that refer to the whole century too? And the 2020's if refered to as the 20's, what happens to the 1920's?

I have always used acryllics, but I have never tried oil paints. Can you use them on canvas? How are they similar/different from acryllics? Do you have any tips on using oil paints? And are they difficult to use?

I am auditioning for a musical at my local community theater and I have come down with a case of allergies complete with stuffy nose, draining and a scratchy voice due to trying to cough up phlem. (lovely, I know) Here's my question -

Besides taking an antihistamine and a decongestant, drinking lots of water, and resting it as much as possible, what can I do to restore my voice ASAP?

The Fray released their hit, "How To Save A Life" a while back. This song has been interpreted in numerous ways and touched many. Here's my question. Have you ever had the chance to save a life? This can be interpreted in ways ranging from spiritual to physical. I look forward to reading your answers.

I recall the illustrations showing the evolution of the earth as if it were set on a stage, with a small man to the right at the lip of the stage acting as nararator. I can't find the title and I'm pretty sure it's out of print. Any one remember what I'm talking about?

Every where I have read it says that you shouldn't listen to music, have the TV going or anything while writing on a book or short story. Though i have my music blaring and TV on. Does anyone else listen to music while writing? I like to change the style to the mood of the story easier to get into position. What do you guys think?
