In "rent", in the song "light my candle", when mimi says "at least the room stopped spinning, anyway". is she saying anyway as in, its all good, or anyway as in lets change the subject now? i need to know! thanks so much!

I think she was just saying she's fine, right before that Roger asked her "can you make it?" and she was just trying to shrug it off and say it's all good. When she says "What?" is when the subject changes.

She was on drugs along with the AIDS and had not eaten. When she sais "anyway" she is saying that for the time being the room stopped spinning because she had a break in the sickness she has been dealing with.

She really means anyway. She's saying that things are not great - she hasn't eaten in awhile and she's sick - but at least the room's stopped spinning and she's not so dizzy anymore.
