Should we stop wasting our time in trying to find a meaning to life? The bad things that can happen to a person in her lifetime is enormous & varied & we have no control of it. Why analyse life at all? Instead ,on the days when you have met life's challenges just be grateful that it wasn't worse.

Everyone continues to be amazed at how Indians survive & flourish, despite obstacles like corruption, brain-drain, poverty, inflation and religious and lingual diversity. There is something very unique about us 'Indians' and our social tolerance levels. What is that 'INDIAN' factor that keeps us motivated? Could it be something we inherited? Could it be something handed down to us over the ages? Is it something that we 'happened' to retain in us, despite several invasions? Perhaps, the key to India’s 'fast-track' progress lies in the discovery of this hidden 'Indian' factor within us! Your answers could inspire and motivate the Indian youth to nurture, nourish and 'flourish'!

I thought it was called meticulation. There is a box that embroidery companies use to check if the colors of the fibers look different under different light, ie sunlight, florescent, and home lights. It may be a scientific term. However, the word I remember is not in the dictionary.

We humans have placed ourselves on a pedestal, we are the greatest things on the planet.

But what is it that makes us so special? We are after all nothing but meat, flesh, bone, fluid. As evidenced by the fact that other animals can eat us, just the same as any other animal on this planet. Do we deserve this pedestal that we placed ourselves on since we are meat just like the animals. If we don't this bring into being serious questions, if we are just animals then to kill another human would be no more wrong then to hunt an animal; if we are just animals then to eat another human would be no great crime; etc.

What is it that makes us so special compared to the animals and why (please don't quote technological advancement as an example)?

What does this mean for us, our society and place on this planet?

Serious answers only please.

I thank you in advance for your insight.

I need to read a book and write a paper for my health class. An example that my teacher gave was Christopher Reeve's book about his injuries or a book about someones battle with cancer. It has to be a physical (not mental) illness. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

the subject could be anything and it doesn't have to rhyme
here it is:

We only got one world
And something's wrong with it
We do know what it is
But no one takes action

We made destructive global warming
We invented harmful wars
We have so many disasters
This is not just another warning

Don't ignore the facts
Don't settle for fiction
if no one else acts
The doesn't mean you can't take action

can you try to add similis and/or mataphors??plz!?

" Even if they (immigrants) had entered illegally they often found work. They were willing to take jobs that other Americans shunned, and they worked hard. Their children who were born here were citizens of the US, according to the Constitution".

Unskilled immigrants who come to the US either legally or illegally:
a - rarely find employment and their children become citizens.
b - often find employment and their children become citizens.
Thank you so much!!!
