I have a project in Chemistry to find a book that has some chemistry (or any kind of science) elements to it..

It doesn't have to be like a boring textbook. It could be something like Harry Potter, since he does stuff with chemicals... I don't want Harry Potter though. :) Any suggestions? It'd be greatly appreciated. :D

we study for more then ten years like a bumpkin, then we spend the next several ten years working like a dog or a horse for the rich (companies), possibly forming a family. then we'll be waiting for death.

but seems to be too painful to suicide.
so why do we live?
seems the pain to die isn't a motive strong enough to drive us keep living.

I'm trying out for High School Musical. Not because I want to be an actor, but because it's one of my favorite Disney movies and I think it'd be a great experience!

But there are some problems. I can hardly sing. How on earth can I improve my voice by March?? Any suggestions?

My role is Taylor. (The African-American girl). Stop this video at 1:04 and 2:55 to see her. http://youtube.com/watch?v=k7zzbB17Fvo She has few lines and never sings solo. Perfect for me.

Singing is my only worry. (I'm not THAT bad at acting and dancing).
Someone please give me tips. I have until early march (March 5th) to get my singing down.

Please and thank you.

if we want to enjoy a more successful living and higher living qualities, we must be hardworking, and being able to resist the physical temptations such as leisure and entertainment. but they are what we are working for.
isn't it a contradiction?

I was reading the Introduction to Nietzsche and it was explaining how he said even though he despised politics, if he had to chose the lesser of all evils, he'd chose a Machiavellian standpoint.

In what way?

I'm not very well versed with Machiavelli so what exactly did Nietzsche find attractive about. (I think, besides Shopenhauer and Dostoyvsky, Machiavelli was the only other philosopher who was in anyway complemented or approved of by the extremely critical Nietzsche)

If you have read the book, what were your thoughts on it? I thought the book was really good. But also very sad. It is the only book that ever made me cry. Do you think the movie will be different from the book? Do you think they will leave out the sad part at the end?

I don't need you to tell me "do something you care about or can relate to".
I just need you to think of as many topics you can think of.
Like computers or squirrels but i need better ideas than that.
