I am not a poet, but I got upset today, at work, and this is the only way I can safely let it out right now.

I Hate.
I hate.
I hate.
Feeling sad
Feeling stupid
Wanting to do for myself
HATING that I am…
Feeling like I can’t vent
Having nowhere I can go
And talk
SAFELY- without reproach
Without someone answering
Always having a solution.
Is it right for me to just want
To feel-Without having to fix?
What is “right”?
I don’t want to hate at all
I just want to help
Not chastised for what I haven’t done.
I need to vent, I hurt inside.

I have noticed that some reasonable research is reguired to gve an answer. We are not here to confuse anyone. We are to answer logic as it ought to be answered with the requisite reasoning. Points are a credit to ourselves.

This question is targeted at people who read both Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Wide Sargasso Sea ( tells the story of the mad woman locked up at Thornfield) by Jean Rhys.

The two books have a different portrayal of Mr. Rochester. I only read the back of Wide Sargasso sea and it seemed to me that the Mr. Rochester was made to be a villian in this books.

So I have to ask someone who read both books, if he is a villian or a victim. Tell me in what aspects are we to sypathize with him and what ways is his charachter tragically flawed in both of the novels.

Futher do you think it is fiar to write a book about someone else's Character and change the readers originall perception of the Character. Do you see this as feeding off of someone else's work or is it a genius as it tells the two parts of the story.

I have written two novels since my early retirement. It has been a godsend, having moved to a new country. But I've hit a wall recently, and am hoping for some assistance or inspiration here....

My style seems to be intense character development, and lots of twists and turns in the plot. I'd love some ideas...anyone have any great plotline ideas? Your help would be greatly appreciated...

Ben Franklin had a long list of things for checking oneself before someone else called attention to his faults. When I began looking in to this, a shorter list was given to me and thus this search continues for a practical way for application: jealousy, anger, resentment, greed, egotism, arrogance, discontent, complaining. Anyone have something other than "theory" and is based on your actual application?

Is this the way history has always been?

The mass brainwashed society keeps the people who truely use their brains from being able to speak. Rule by majority, but really they are used as tools by another very crafty criminal society?

and they shout down any thought crimes?

Hey, admit it; it is useful to keep something to read in the bathroom near the "throne." I have "Books and Reading: A Book of Quotations," edited by Bill Bradfield for Dover Thrift Editions.

Mine was so horrifying. I survived a terrorist attack on our office building in 2004, Three of my officemates got killed, among a total of 22. A terrorist's gun was pointed on my head but it misfired. It took several months for me to recover from trauma. I keep on believing that if it is not my time, it is not my time.

I read it, once, a long time ago, and now I can't remember the poet's name, the title of the poem or where I first read it. All I can remember, I will list here. I have searched the Internet to no avail, but maybe someone else will have more success.

It is about the poet & an English teacher, who is so obsessed with the rules of language (specificly "the container for the thing contained") that she can't see the real beauty in literature. They walk through fantastical literary landscapes and the poet tries to draw the teacher's attention to these wonders, but all she does is peer around with her binoculars, searching for a "container for the thing contained", and being thoroughly delighted when she catches a glimpse of one. Eventually, the poet gives up.

I think that Sherwood Forest is mentioned, possibly also the Forest of Arden. I would love to get hold of a copy of this poem, can anyone help me?
