The Eva Peron story is great. I saw her grave in Buenas Aires in 2004. Still, she isn't as famous as Diego Maradona in Argentina though. I prefer to research the 1400's-1700's. It's only 500 years ago but life was so very , very different. Lot's of things changed and we began to develop skills and ideas that we still use today to some degree; navigation of the stars, governments, map drawing, clothes design, industry, food, alcohol etc. The discovery of the New World also changed perspectives for obvious reasons.

I am currently researching 'the effect of the Lancashire Cotton Famine on Blackburn,' I am finding it quite fulfilling, especially when looking at the primary source material (diaries, letters, etc).
When I have completed my degree I hope to a little more research on the Accrington Pals.

I enjoy ALL of American History but I have spent the most time researching the assassination of John F. Kennedy (30 years) and that has given me the most enjoyment. But most aspects of American History have caught my attention at one time or another.

Ancient Egypt, it takes you into the culture and history and it is fascinating to unravel as you can learn so much from just a technically short period they lived.
