God has not created the world at all. If the world is created by God, then who created the God ?
It is all "Scientific Circumstantial evidences"
I had the same question for years. I got the answer from the spiritual (real) science of Dada Bhagwan. You may visit the site dadabhagwan.org

When you look at the distant galaxies it seems that everything from the astroids to barren planets are void of all life? Perhaps in the human mind we see planets void of all life yet they are part of the scheme of life it's self.
Then we take the time to compare the planet earth as a model of what we consider alive and flourishing, reality check tells you that is utter nonsense as the planet earth is a dying vehicle and will eventually takes it's place in the solar system as simply another planet very much like mars.
Man has always managed to concoct a god out of fear of dying and that we will be reborn and we always seem to be fixated on this miracle thing. He was saved because it was a miracle, would it not stand to reason that it would be a miracle if it did not happen at all?
Obviously you have concluded that all was created by god, why? because you cannot or refuse to look beyond the existance of a god?
Would any sane god allow this planet to deteriorate to such a point that that the very existance of the planet earth is now in question???? The human mind is a fertile field and yet we remain fixated and refuse to comprehend the very nature of our existance with an open mind.

We cannot possibly BEGIN to answer this question because for understand the universes REASON for creation, we need to know what it was created BY, we may never know for certain if a God created the universe, we may never know if there is such a thing as a god.
We can only guess, and your own belief would be more comforting than what anyone else can say to you about it.
If you are really interested in this sort of thing though, read a few philosophy books and draw up your own personal conclusion, and dont forget to take comfort in that. :P

God being omni-benevolent (all-loving/good) necessarily created a universe that could sustain life because Life is intrinsically good. By definition, God does good things and so had to create life which is a good act. Atleast thats the only way one can reason the existence of the universe. Whether there is a deeper purpose only an omniscient(all-knowing) being could know, so basically, only God could know.

We humans are programmed, each with different levels of knowledge which can be upgraded etc. However, till date our knowledge level is not enough to understand many things including ‘God,’ however, today we know much more than we knew fifty years ago and fifty years from now we would know much more than today. Hopefully somewhere in the distant future some generation of ours may understand the reasons God created the universe.

The following is is a philosophical reason for the creation of the universe.
A musician must have musical compositions to be considered a musician. A painter must have paintings, to be considered a painter. A sculptor must have sculptures to be considered a sculptor.
A creator must have a creation to be a creator.
Creator and creation go together and are inseparable one from another. We are the finest creation of this creator.
Here is a more subtle reason too.
O SON OF MAN!
Veiled in My immemorial being and in the ancient eternity of My essence, I knew My love for thee; therefore I created thee, have engraved on thee Mine image and revealed to thee My beauty.
O SON OF MAN!
I loved thy creation, hence I created thee. Wherefore, do thou love Me, that I may name thy name and fill thy soul with the spirit of life.

god created this Universe for his own pleasure and the whole creation is part of his body. God & His creations are not separate and what exists is the supreme consciousness.

So that we can keep wondering without getting any reasonable answers and then complete the full circle and go back to God to find out..... this is the way God makes sure all of us have to go back to Him because He loves us so much!!

He created the universe for the same reason we procreate and have children. This is what Gods do and this is the way they procreate their species and the universe is the environment for the training of future Gods.
